Problem:
This client utilizes a filling machine to fill tubes with caulk. Product discharges from the filling machine at a continuous rate. Operators had a hard time opening a case blank, holding it on a table and filling it at the rate of the processing machine. Tubes would fall over in the case, making it difficult to continue filling. The process was slow and cumbersome.
Solution:
A PIN Distributor sold them a semi-automatic case erector. The operator now only has to load the blanks. The machine erects the case and holds the case for the operator to fill. As part of the solution, the PIN Distributor added a tilt option to the machine which keeps the tubes from tipping over in the case. This smart upgrade makes it faster and easier to fill the cases.
