CASE STUDY
Broad Street Brewing
SITE DETAILS
Broad Street Brewing is a Philadelphia-based craft brewery known for producing high-quality, small-batch beer. They emphasize consistency and creativity, brewing everything from classic lagers to rotating seasonal releases. As their demand continues to grow, they’ve expanded their canning operation and strengthened local market presence.
CHALLENGES
As Broad Street Brewing increased their production and began expanding their canning operation, they needed a reliable way to add date and lot codes to their cans. Before coming to DVPG, their previous coding system did not have consistent print, the ink didn’t always adhere to aluminum, and the overall setup didn’t give them the confidence to run it day in and day out. Their main goal: Find a coding system that prints clearly, holds up on the can, and runs reliably with minimal maintenance.

SOLUTION
Delaware Valley Packaging Group installed the Leibinger Jet2neo continuous ink jet printer, which is a system known for reliability, clean operation, and strong performance on aluminum cans.
RESULTS
Once the Jet2neo was installed, Broad Street Brewing saw immediate improvements in both print and quality flow.
- Smooth operation at full canning line speed
- Consistent, reliable coding even on cold cans or wet surfaces
- Operators spend less time troubleshooting and more time running the line
- Better traceability and compliance for packaged goods
Long Term Improvements:
- The Jet2neo positions the brewery for future growth
- Lower long-term consumable and service costs
- A reliable coding system that supports both current and expanding distribution needs
“The Leibinger made an immediate difference on our line. We should have switched sooner.” – Ed Webber, Co Owner
